Original Ibanez V-2 pickups (stamped in the metal bottom: V-2) were designed to be like Dimarzio Super Distortion pickups. They have the same hex-adjustable poll pieces and the cream bobbins, just like the early SD’s. They were used on Ibanez models from about 1981 through 1983 (or so).
The V2’s started in 1978 with the Ibanez Studio series guitars. Dimarzio Super Distortions are ceramic magnets while Ibanez V2’s are Alnico resulting in the V2’s sounding better at lower volume than the Dimarzio’s.
