From a catalog: Vantage VLP Series
The Vantage VLP Series of solid body guitars represents the very latest step of an ongoing evolution based on the classic electric solid body design which revolutionized modern guitars playing. A number of structural improvments and electronic modifications offer the electric guitarist the potential for achieving limitless tonalcombinations when the guitar is played either “clean” or “dirty”. Two custom-engineered Vantage #450PF humbucking pickups work together to producea rich, full sustaining sound in both bass and treble positions. A separete coil tap switch circuit affords the player the abillity to instantly shift from a fat, warm sound to a single coil configuration for a more hard-edged, metallic tone.
From another catalog: “SPIRIT”
The Vantage “Spirt” was designed along the classic guitar line that made musical history, with the added benefit of today’s most advanced electronics.
The “Spirit” of the old and the new. You get both in the Vantage VLP-500 Series.
